On September 19, 144 golfers came together at Golf Le Champêtre for the 2026 edition of the hiatus invitational — a day built around golf, community and everything we love about the game. With perfect weather, a full course and an incredible group of people, this year’s tournament gave us plenty to remember.

From the moment players arrived at the club, the energy was there. The practice area was busy, the clubhouse was buzzing and familiar faces mixed with new ones before everyone headed to their starting holes for the noon shotgun.

Played in a four-person Vegas format, the invitational has always been about finding the right balance between competition and simply having a great time on the course. Across 18 holes, 36 foursomes made their way around Le Champêtre, with activations, prizes and a few surprises waiting along the way.

This year, we were especially proud to welcome a remarkable group of guests from across sport, culture and golf: Kori Cheverie, Head Coach of the Montréal Victoire; Maude-Aimée Leblanc, LPGA Tour player; Steven Vilts, Los Angeles golf instruction icon; Katherine Levac, comedian and host; and James Ehrlich, poet and contributor to hiatus golf.

Their presence reflected exactly what we hope to create with the invitational: a place where different worlds can meet through golf. Professionals and first-timers, athletes and artists, longtime players and new members of the community all shared the same course for an afternoon.

There was plenty happening between shots, too. On Hole 8, Torrus Groupe Financier gave players their shot at something big: an Audi Q3 lease with a hole-in-one. Throughout the course, partners and activations added another layer to the experience, while the limited-edition hiatus golf x Golf Le Champêtre collection marked the occasion with something to take home.

And once the final putts dropped, the day was far from over.

Everyone returned to the clubhouse for cocktails, entertainment, awards, dinner and a few more surprises — extending the conversations and connections that had started on the course. Because while golf brings everyone together, the moments around the game have always been just as important to us.

The hiatus invitational is our opportunity each year to bring the pages and spirit of the magazine into the real world. It’s about creating space for people who already love golf, while inviting new perspectives, personalities and ideas into its culture.

None of it would have been possible without the people and organizations who believed in this edition. A special thank you to lululemon, The Unscented Company, Golf Québec, Deux Lions Golf and Muni, as well as Golf Le Champêtre and everyone who helped bring the day to life.

And, most importantly, thank you to all 144 golfers who showed up, played, connected and made the 2026 edition what it was.

One beautiful September day. One full golf course. A lot of good people.

See you at the next one.
